simple and efficient study and exam tips
Education is the tool which shapes a person. Exams are hurdles
which test your memory, reading and writing skills, language skill. And in case
of MCQ's paper, it tests your solving skill. However, students have failed to
understand this.
"Practice makes a man perfect"
This quote says it all. But students stick on to their distractions instead of keeping themselves focused. Worst case is, some suffer with basics even after they reach grade 10 as they would have developed a habit of burning the midnight oil with resources available, mug up and vomit in the exam. They don't bother about the content and syllabus as the thought that school college is only for exam has occupied the student mind and it destroys the flow of a student's life. Change is not easy we got to wait. We got to dispose this negative thought of education and develop these habits to study effectively. Here are some effective tips to bridge the study gap between class and exam: (those who are expecting last minute tips, the count starts from point no. 5 for you. The rest just continue reading.)
- Have separate notebooks for each subject and take down running notes. dont spend only in writing. listen, understand, learn, write. if not raise a question. if your question is not answered, write it down somewhere and either ask someone or google (everything is at your fingertips)
- Revise the concepts of the day after going home.
- Have a textbook or pdf. if not enquire in your library for book. Take notes or read the textbook to understand the concept more clearly. By doing this (1,2,3,4 point) everyday, 3/4th of exam stress will be reduced as you are in track of your studies.
- The day before exam, Relax, meditate and after some time, revise all the topics one by one. It will take atleast 1 and a half hour if you study late and around or less than half an hour if you are one who study regularly.
- Take your own time. Never mess up.
- Do not study any new topic. You feel difficult because many colleges would have wrapped up with the portions due to shortage of time. None can be blamed. So just revise whatever you know.
- Avoid cramming or thinking about the same topic which you don't know. Cramming too much will make you feel mixed up and you'll lose your confidence.
- Revise model papers and have a look at the blueprint.
- Please don't try to search for question papers at this peak hour. don't get diverted into any rumor. Better to shut off social media till exam gets over or, permanently.
- Sleep well. Don't burn the midnight oil. Because your body and mind will be in need of relaxation
- There are many who take supplementary exams just because they don't keep a track of the exam dates. So please be thorough with the exam time table
- Get up early and revise everything once again. It will make you more confident. Please dont become overconfident by flipping the book like a robot. And close the book 1 hour before exam.
- If you are not okay with last minute group discussion with friends, just choose a silent place to study and ignore the rest part of the noise.
- Before leaving, check if you've taken your ID, hall ticket and other necessary things. In case you're using lead pencil, insert a lead into the pencil and keep it ready.
- Read all instructions given in the booklet carefully. Fill all your details correctly.
- Please dont get excited on receiving the question paper. Breathe!
- Start with the questions which you feel easy as it consumes less time to finish and you can devote your remaining Time for the tough ones .
- If you are stuck, dont panic. Relax and keep that positive energy alive in you . But if you need more time, just mark that question in your answer paper and proceed to the next one. While attending the next one, please don't think about the question which you left. That might divert and confuse you
- Handwriting and presentation of your answers matters a lot. It's better to avoid scratching. Underline the main keys of your answer. It creates an impression.
- Check your answers and ensure that you've mentioned all question numbers correctly before submitting your paper.
- Please don't get too nervous or bother too much about your results else you cannot concentrate on the next subject
- After exams think of your next step and continue on your path towards your goal. Failures are a part of life.
- Use those failures as stepping stones.
- Learn life lessons from the mistakes you did.
- Aim high and march towards your goal after exam
- Please don't get into unnecessary diversions as 19 - 25 (or 30) is the age where you either build your empire or you dig your grave.
- Last but not the least fill hopes and confidence in your parents and keep them relaxed. parents, People have hopes on us and we should not let it become false. if it should be true, then work on yourself, your dreams, your career.
happy exams
